I seek bibliography, and perhaps enlightenment on the relationship
between Galatians 3:28 and Genesis 1:27. In the famous Galatians text Paul
says there is neither Jew nor (oude) Greek, neither slave nor (oude) free,
nor male and female (arsen kai thelu). The latter phrase seems to invoke
Genesis 1:27.
First, what are the best references / studies on this connection.
Second, outside of major commentaries, has anyone done work on this
connection in light of 2 Clement 12:2-5 and Gospel of Thomas 22 which see an
end to distinctions between inside and outside, high and low, male and
female? Are there other early Christian texts I should be considering here?
Thanks for any input.
