>> many hope that the key to God's romantic salvation story exists somewhere
in that tangle <<

The Dutch Radical invitation is intriguing (if off the wall) and David's
response 'interesting' as Fabrizio indicates.

The problem is not 'popularity' or 'cracking the mystery' with science or
whatever, but the effrontery of reconstructing Marcion.

Marcion was needed to show us who is approved (1 Cor 11:19). We all 'know'
he was not. His canon excluding the ferocious God of TNK misses the
original 'science' of the Mercy. As a result of his not seeing this mercy
in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Marcion's canon is not the accepted
one, just another late faction.

In Romans 9:25, Paul quotes God <there's that canon again> from Hosea: "I
will call those who were not my people, My people, and I will call her who
was unloved, My beloved. And in the very place where it was said to them,
You are not my people, there they will be called sons of the living God."

Now here is a romantic salvation story ... and obviously one well known by
the writers of the NT (alluded to in John, Revelation, 1 Peter, Romans, 1
Cor and Hebrews)

Just a thought in continuing gratitude for all your hard work - but without
the time to pursue all possible hypotheses.

Catch the foxes for us,
the little foxes that make havoc of the vineyards,
for our vineyards are in flower. (Song 2.15)
