Richard now writes:
What is the evidence for your assertions, Jeffrey? I have not found
anything in Paul's letters to cast doubt on Acts 19:9b-10. On the contrary,
Rom 15:23 is rather consistent with Acts 19:9b-10, for it tells us that
Paul had run out of new places to evangelize. Furthermore, those of us who
accept an Ephesian imprisonment can use the data in Philemon and Colossians
as evidence that at least parts of the province of Asia had been
evangelized by Paul's team before the departure of Timothy (Acts 19.22),
and this lends some support to Acts 19:9b-10.
