Most of us, serious about tea, have indeed tested for nutrient value.
Traditional nutrient analyses are nothing more than a very rough guide. The
idea of answering and giving recommendations without any information is
dangerous and irresponsible. Any tank mixes without adequate research and
testing are nothing more than flirting with disaster. Yes, we are
fertilizing with our tea. Helena has products that provide nutrients, and we
have also found small quantities of fish emulsion to be effective. I really
worry about the state of our technology when we rush out and try to
"consult" in areas we are ill prepared to work in. I have 15 years of
managing large botanical collections and wouldn't dream of trying to create
"one shot" fertilization programs. "Basic" nutrients are certainly able to
disrupt an already tenuous balance.
