Suppose you create an original song, and license it under Authoright.
Anyone can take your song, reproduce it and make a killing. What do you
do? . . . . Well, for starters, you can market your song as the original
version of THEIR song. They had the opportunity to pay you for the
exclusive right to attribute your song, and they chose not to. You now
ride THEIR wave of success. Oh, and you make sure you offer autographed
copies at a premium. Now, the next time you create an original song,
and license it under Authoright, the price goes up.
Simple, nice, makes the world go around, eh?
