The real opposition is "proprietary" content vs. open content, but not
for-profit vs. open one. Even more so, open content is to bring more
profits than proprietary one ( unless "content provider" is a monopoly).

For example, Open Studios is going to sell a book which supposed to be
open licensed and at the same time is supposed to bring in money. Or
another example - OSS brings in profits to many. I have thought that this
is one of our major points to stress: open license has to bring profits to
the author of a talented work.

It is redundant mistake unfortunately accepted as an axiom by virtually
all that copyright is to provide "reward" to an author. Copyright
comprises attempt to impose ownership on creative works, which cannot be
owned by their very nature. This is why copyright does not work as it
supposed to. In reality copyright was designed to strip and control
authors. This function has been successfully implemented.

Openness of a content is to reward authors, to bring them real profits.
