Blame Tenet? He's just trying to please his boss

If I understand the news reports, the white house folks say there's a
pile of evidence about nuclear related information on Iraq, and they
chose to use that particular piece of information. Apparently, the
other information is verified and substantiated and really good stuff.
Unfortunately, they can't produce it. It's secret.
The white house folks say that the decision for war was broad-based, and
one little, itty, bitty false fact shouldn't carry any weight. In the
words of Hans Blix, "Be patient" they say. "We'll find the WMD [now,
though, it's restated as WMD-programs], but it takes time."
The white house folks say that they freed the Iraq people. On June 12,
2003, they ordered Bremer to issue a proclamation rescinding Freedom of
the Press, Freedom of Speech, and Freedom to Assemble. News reporters
around the world are bound not to report rapes, pillaging of Iraq
citizens as that incites people. Inciting is not a good thing.
The UN liked containment as a strategy for Iraq issues. Seems
reasonable. Maybe the UN still likes containment, even under the
present circumstances. Maybe it's time the United States revisits the
UN resolutions, and considers reinstating the strategy that might save
American lives and accomplish American goals of liberating Iraq citizens
and giving them their Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Assembly and
Freedom of Speech back. Seems odd that at this point, without nuclear
weapons or without WMD evidence, the only broad-based decision appears
to be liberation.
Thanks,
