Hello friends (apologies for any cross-posts)
After a discussion with Giorgos, we decided it would be a good idea to post this request to the Research list. I'm gathering content for the iCommons Annual for the summit, and am looking for stories about the Commons Research track.
If any of you are interested in contributing, please give me a shout...
Best
Rebecca
___________________________________Hi Giorgos
I'm busy compiling and editing the iCommons Annual at the moment ( it's going to be slightly different from the Annual we distributed in Dubrovnik, with much more focus on the iSummit itself) and I was wondering if you'd be interested in writing a piece for the Annual about the Research track?
We're keeping the articles very short - about 500 words, so it's not a lot of writing to do, but I think people should know a bit about the different process and plans for the track, since it's so unique.
If you are interested, then it would be great to have a piece that explains the peer review process that you went through in planning the track and deciding on the speakers and papers that were to be presented.
Also, I thought it would be interesting to include a list of online resources that people who are interested in this kind research can turn to in order to learn a little more - a sort of online reading list, so to speak. Are their journals and publications online that we can direct people to for this kind of reading?
Also, if there is any other information that you think people who are interested in research on the Commons should be familiar with - perhaps some of the terminology and phrases that may be unfamiliar to people who are not directly engaged with this research? Or a short timeline of the development of this research?
Does this sound like something you might be interested in writing? Or, if not, do you know of anyone else involved in the track who might be interested in writing for the annual?
Let me know if you're keen (or if you know of anybody else who might be) and we can look at timing and deadlines after that.
All the best
Rebecca
