James, thanks for checking. Yes, do point them to the list. I am currently
setting up some web pages on icommons for the research track and the CFP is
basically done, just need to include information on how to actually make the
submissions.

There is generally speaking 3 types of submissions possible:

1. extended abstracts of research papers for peer review
2. proposals for the speed-geeking session
3. ideas for other sessions that we should have in the research track besides
peer-reviewed research presentations and speed-geeking

The first two should be managed by us, i.e. the "research guys" and the
instructions for submitting them will be in the CFP.
For the third one, ideas can be submitted to pentabarf, but they are likely
to get more traction and it would be much nicer to discuss them openly by
posting them on the commons-research mailing list.

Dear Research Guys

A few people are starting to submit research proposals on the isummit
pentabarf submissions portal. I am pointing them in the direction of
this list and encouraging them to get involved via the list. Is this the
right thing for me to do? Am I right in assuming that the community is
close to formalising the peer-review process?

Regards
