Friday, February 29th, 2008 Creating an Artistic Economy: A Creative Communities Workshop Keynote Speaker: Becky Anderson of Handmade in Imperial Centre - 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The Creating an Artistic Economy workshop will: * examine
the role of arts in local economic development; * provide
community leaders and citizens with ideas to help them identify and cultivate
their arts and crafts communities; and, * provide
community leaders and citizens with techniques to help them develop and nurture
their local arts culture. Cost: $25 per person; $15 per
student, includes box lunch. This
event is free of charge to members of the Creative Communities Commissions. Agenda and registration form will be emailed on February 4th.
