Hi
All!
Over the past months
I have added a fair amount of information to the web site. Most of this
information already existed. I encourage you to visit the web site before you
make suggestions of things you would like our web site to include. Below is a
list of the current structure of the web site.

What is Public Art?
Adapted by Fairmount Park Art Association, Philadelphia (www.fpaa.org) from
Public Art in
Philadelphia by Penny Balkin Bach (Temple
University Press, Philadelphia, 1992).
Please note: every
page has the email address (info AT chapelhillarts.org) on it in the
left hand side bar.
Hope this helps you
in your thinking about what types of things need to get added to the site. If
you are chair of a subcommittee, and your area is not represented, please think
about how it would best be presented. The two main committees not represented
are Education and Collections. An example of the Collections Section would be as
follows: Ideal: Searchable Database listing every item in town collection with
Images and Extensive Artist and Artwork information. First Step: A Listing of
Artwork in Town Collection.
One thing to think
about is does the information you want to see on the web site exist, or does it
need to be created? If it exists, send it to me and I will work it into the site
as soon as I can. If it needs to be created, do so with the web in mind. A list
with multiple columns should be created in Excel rather than in Word. This is
easier for me to work with. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to
contact me, Jonathan or Kate.
Thanks for your help
and input,
Jeff
