Hello everyone! There are lots of awesome events this month,
/INCLUDING A YARD SALE AND LAWN PARTY FUNDRAISER ON SAT. JUNE 25./
Scroll down for more info on that, and here's what's going on this
week and beyond:

**THIS WEEK**

SPECIAL MOVIE NIGHT:"GASLAND" Mon June 13 @ 7pm
A special documentary that everyone needs to see (it's about
hydro-fracking, which might be happening in this area in the
not-too-distant future, unless we do something about it). Brought to
you by Croatan Earth First!
(please note that this is on a special night, and not on a thursday night)

There will be a meeting/discussion after the movie to talk about what
we can do!

JUNE POLITICAL PRISONER LETTER WRITING NIGHT Wed June 15 @ 7pm
Come write a letter or card to political prisoners whose birthdays
fall in the month of June! A really easy way to make someone's day :)

(NO MOVIE NIGHT THIS THURSDAY JUNE 16, it was moved to MONDAY JUNE 13)

AUTHOR READING: "COLLECTIVE VISIONING: HOW GROUPS CAN COME TOGETHER
FOR A JUST AND SUSTAINABLE FUTURE" Mon June 20 @ 7pm
Join author Linda Stout as she shares her new book with us!

The book features a clear, actionable, step-by-step process to set up
and create a welcoming space for activist leaders to collaborate for
positive change. Stout details ways in which trainers should reach out
to different groups, listen to and understand needs and concerns of
the group, create a welcoming space for all voices, foster agreements,
ensure the visibility of all members.

TRANS DISCUSSION GROUP Wed June 22 @ 8pm

ANIMAL RIGHTS MOVIE NIGHT: "A COW AT MY TABLE" Thur June 23 @ 7pm

REALLY FREE PUNK SHOW! Fri June 24 @ 9pm
Local bands Sibannac and From the Depths, plus one other band tba

FUNDRAISER: YARD SALE AND LAWN PARTY Sat June 25 7am-5pm
Currently accepting donations at the store for sale at the Yard Sale
portion of the event (please email for drop-off location for larger
items like furniture).
There will also be a Lawn Party at 11am following the Yard Sale!
Including musical entertainment from local bands, performances by
local puppet troupe The Mysterious Rabbit Puppet Army, lawn games
(e.g., croquet, horseshoes, badminton), carnival-style games,
face-painting, a cake walk, as well as delicious food (cooked on the
grill!) and many fun games and prizes :) This will be a family
friendly event!
