Totally not trying to be a jerk but I've read this three times & I still can't find the date.

I *love* the Jacquelyn Lee stuff I downloaded from the Internet, BTW.

Howdy there folks!

We haven't had a show here at the Queen in for-ever. What better time to
host a prom, complete with rad bands and dance music 'til the wee hours of
the night? Show off your classiest duds, ask that special someone to come
slowdance with you, and get yer butts to the Queen for a night of magic and
mystery (costumes welcome but not necessary).

FEATURING:

KELLIE ANN GRUBBS + CLAIRE LEONARD + FRIENDS
These kids make some beautiful music. Straight up. Heart aches to hear
strummings and straining vocals so lovely they're apt to short-circuit your
brain. This collection of lovely ladies are surely going to pour liquid
wonder into your ears. Be sure to catch the first performance at the Queen
of a trio(duo? quartet? who can guess?) of gut-wrenching, heart-stopping
kids.

KIDS AND KITTENS
Jacquelyn Lee has been taking this town by storm. Master of whatever you
wanna throw at her, this lady has talent and endless beauty. Songs that will
pull you out through your pores and slip spirit-like across the room into
one of the many wondrous instruments beneath Jacki's fingers. Bare feet and
rainstorms got nothing on this lady.

ILL FAMILY
Classic psych from long-haired Chapel Hill men-about-town. You know 'em,
you love 'em! Get ready for a grooving set by gentlemen who know how to make
your feet move. Your socks have never been rocked off by a band with
prettier hair. Seriously. I have never not danced to these kids.

Potential appearance by: CUNT BOMB
Riot grrl/sexploitive punk/terrible eighties prom song cover band that'll
get you slam-dancing so hard your nose'll still be bleeding three days
later.

RETURN OF THE DANCE PARTY
With DJs guaranteed to get you moving about the room with toes a-tapping.

DJs BRYSON RUSSEL AND JACK BEE

and

DJ RYAN MARTIN
Y'all wanna dance until the sun comes up? This collection of fellas will
churn out music to get you up and moving and grooving.

As always, this event is BYOWaterbottlefilledwithvodka (or beer, y'know,
whatever)

ALSO we don't have any touring bands this time but we WILL BE TAKING
DONATIONS for Honduras Water Brigades. Like having clean water? Like other
people having clean water? Then bring some $$ to help out!

THE AFRICAN QUEEN IS:
