Set in a not-so-far dystopian future, "Love & Robots" weaves an epic tale of
love, sacrifice, triumph and redemption... with, yes.... ROBOTS!
Our hero, Messenger, is a radical experimental design by a brilliant
underground roboticist. Through a series of serendipitous events he receives
a vision of the Divine, leading him on a journey that will change him and the
world forever.
Come get your circuits blown and your sockets rocked with this latest
production from Paperhand. This 2nd annual winter show features: smart
shadows, mechanical marvels, and plenty of puppets all set to an
original musical score by Jimmy Magoo and the Paperhand Band

We hope you can join us for a robotic romp that will leave your circuits
humming.
Concessions will be provided by Vimala Rajendran, with chai tea, cardamum
brownies and, other beverages.

**Also, this week (tonight!) at the Nightlight there is a touring troupe
called...
Living Things (NOT to be confused with the glam-
punk band) "It's a music group working with composed and improvised material
with the
purpose of mixing theatrical and performative action into the musical setting.
our current project utilizes everything from instrument beasts, transgender voice
therapy, wind-up toy-orchestra with a tuba-headed conductor, contrabassnake
clarinet, and a feedback puppy, to compositions for motorized wind instruments,
woodwinds, euphonium, percussion, feedback, guitar, and others."

http://www.youtube.com/livingthingsnyc are various videos of performances in
'09, and you can also listen to some tracks off their CDR release Snöem?nk at
http://www.myspace.com/stephencoopermusic.

Thank you all so much for your continued love and support and we hope to see
you at the show! Find more at our website www.paperhand.org
with love and respect,
