i'm getting incredibly lazy, so this is a copy paste of the message
that i to the mailing list.
sorry if this is a double post for anyone.
anyways. here goes!:

sorry about the last minute postponing of the show, but i just heard
word not too long ago that by a mix up of historical proportions,
jamie is actually going to be in italy on the 1st, so, that show is
now postponed to a date early next year, which you'll hear about once
that all gets figured out, of course.
and, for those of you who haven't been keeping up with the fast times
at the coffeehouse, here's the heads up on what's going down for the
next while:

tomorrow night! (oct 30) come out to the first ever ZOMBIE PROM! it'll
kick off at 9:30p and the madness won't stop until 2a. dress in your
most spectacular zombie garb, because there'll of course be a costume
contest, along with a thriller dance off. it's a given that it'll be a
blowout of epic proportions. especially since it'll be free!

next thursday: (nov 6) come out and support the TROIKA music festival
which features the best of the best bands that the Triangle has to
offer. i mean, look at the killer long bill:
Red Collar, Sorry about Dresden, Le Weekend, Pink Flag, and Sequoya.
$5 general or entry with the TROIKA wristband
with a crazy awesome marathon bill like that, well ... it has to start
at 8. doors at 7:30.

next friday: (nov 7) been looking for the reincarnate of the
California Girls-era Beach Boys (even though they're still alive)?
try: The Explorers Club with The Never and the Huguenots. $5 general

next saturday: (nov 8) also part of the TROIKA music festival: Tooth,
Midtown Dickens, The Curtains of Night, Cantwell, Gomez, and Jordan,
Gates of Beauty, and Clawform $5 general or entry with the TROIKA
wristband. same deal as with the thursday show - marathon bill means
doors at 7:30, show at 8p. get ready for a good time.

i think that's all for now.
like always, check out the website at dukecoffeehouse.org for
directions, more of the schedule, links to the bands' pages, etc.
shows start at 9:30, doors open at 9 unless otherwise noted. BYOB. all
ages, etcetc. you must know the drill by now.

love,
jen
