The Blake Babies broke up?

When did that happen?

Hell, I even enjoyed the Blake Babies reunion. It was just nice to see a
band that I never got to see live. I don't pretend that it's ever as good
as seeing a band back in the day, but damn if I'm not just an emotional
dude.

For me it was the Buzzcocks reunion that changed my mind about reunion
shows. I went with nothing but great hesitation, and then they proceeded
to
blow me away. Those geezers rocked. Period. Full stop.

It's because of them that I went to see reunited Mission of Burma, Pixies,
Gang of Four, Polvo, etc., etc.

See you tonight at the X show, man!

Funny, I was also having this conversation at the bar last week. When
the first wave of reunions took place in the '90's (Sex Pistols,
Buzzcock, etc) - I resisted. I think the first one I went to was The
Descendents in '96...and it was amazing (as was the reunion album
Everything Sucks.) And now I've seen so many (including X back in 2000
when they first reformed the original line-up) and not only can I
recall a bad show but most reunion shows have been incredible,
including the aforementioned Mission of Burma and others such as Gang
of Four and Pylon, not to mention the recent Polvo/Pressure Boys
shows. I'll definitely be there tonight!...and can't believe it took
so long to sell-out....glenn
