>From my experience with clubs that depend on bar sales more than on
door money (covers go to bands, soundmen, etc), how much each person
spends at the bar is more important than how many people are there.
150 people who each spend $2 at the bar is not as good as 25 people
who each spend $20 at the bar. Thats from a bartender's point of
view.

>From a band point of view, I'll take 50 people at the 506 having a
good time and there to see you play than a packed house who can't wait
for you to finish so they can see the out of town sensation... I
imagine all those bands that open for the Rolling Stones feel sort of
the same way.
