hi all. i know this might be a stretch to find someone here who can help me, but it's better than nothing.
i have an Edirol R-1 which has some issues (scratchiness when mic plug is touched/rotated in mic jack). there are no screws that i can see on the case, so i'm guessing there is some other way to open the case. i'm looking for a service manual or someone who has had experience servicing these devices in the past to offer help.
i feel pretty handy with a soldering iron and think once i get the case open i can fix the problem of the bad connection on the jack.
yes, the device is no longer under warranty and yes, i am too thrifty to send the thing to a "service center" where they will charge me $$$ to even look at it. i know that they sell the service manual (at Roland/Edirol) for $35 + $5 S&H but i'm not interested in that (if i can avoid it) either.
thanks for your help.
