I was getting ready to post this, but realize it kind of fits this
thread - when you give out your CD for promotional purposes, you
should always remove the shrinkwrap. I know it's sound minor, but
when you get a lot of CDs, it's the little things that separate them.
And if you don't think it's that big of a deal, then you probably
don't get many CDs handed to you.
But, for example, my 'now playing' section of CDs had grown out of
proporation (to probably 300 CDs - ie: these are CDs I've acquired in
the last year or so, so that comes to about a CD a day.) So I finally
decided to rip everything onto my computer because it was beyond the
point of me even being able to find what I was looking for since they
weren't arranged alphabetically
There were a good dozen of so CDs by bands that I either liked or
wanted to listen that still sat shrinkwrapped - it's hard enough to
get me to pull out a CD once it's at the bottom of a pile - if it's
got shrinkwrap on it, forget it.
The prompt for me to post this is that I'm sitting at Local 506 and
decided to put some music on from our soundboard; and stumbled across
a new local release complete with shrinkwrap (which I'm now listening
to.) I would put good money on that if I hadn't open it, it would have
just sat there and collected dust. I'm not the only lazy person.
