Hello!!
We've got some exciting news to add to the weekend of ridiculousness
here!
(i think i screwed up mailing this out, so some people might get it
twice, sorry!!)

Not only will we get -

*Tonight - Maple Stave, Red Collar, In the Year of the Pig @ Joe & Jo's
starting shortly after 10pm. Free.
*Saturday day - Wiggfest 2006: Wigg Report, Beloved Binge, Ex-Members,
Charles Latham, Jamie (Dom Casual), Sean (Three Torches) and Carl
(Ugglians/Blackstrap) kicking off @ 2pm in the afternoon at the shop.
Free.
*Saturday night - WXDU Benefit: Torch Marauder's Grappling Hook,
Natasha, Noncanon and Le Weekend at 9pm @ the Duke Coffeehouse. 5
bucks. (not directly part of the anniversary, but sweet nonetheless!
see ya there! let's support!!)

We also get -

*Sunday night, November 12th @ Bull City Records
THE KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW (http://www.myspace.com/thekingkhanbbqshow)
JIMMY & THE TEASERS (http://www.myspace.com/jimmyandtheteasers)
SPIDERBAGS (http://www.myspace.com/spiderbags)

5 bucks.
BYOB.
PARTY.
Starts at 9pm on the dot. For serious, it's a Sunday night, so I want
this to start on time.
The King Khan & BBQ Show got dumped from their tour with the Detroit
Cobras, so they're lining up smaller shows back up the east coast to
take them home to Canada, we got lucky here and this is a show that
otherwise wouldn't come through the shop in a million years!
I can't stress enough the importance and awesomeness of this show
happening.
These guys are absolutely amazing.
If you have ever bought anything in this shop and liked it, then trust
me, I'll bank my shop on the fact that you will be starry-eyed-amazed
by this group.
If you like garage rawk, doowop, rock'n'roll, anything this store
stocks, you will be wowed by these guys.
For you out-of-towners, this is the show we were going to go into
Chapel Hill on Saturday night for!!

King Khan...)

A synopsis I wrote a buddy while trying to convince him to come:
BBQ is a one man band. A ridiculously amazing one man band. In his many
bands, he's released records on Crypt, Sympathy for the Record
Industry, In the Red, Goner, Bomp, etc. etc. His last solo full length
was ridiculous and made my top 10 of that year.
King Khan is a one man band. Also amazing.

The King Khan & BBQ Show is the two of them playing their one man bands
at the same time.
This creates some of the most awesome garage rawk with doowop
tendencies ever.
Holy Shit.
