Saxapahaw Rivermill Farmers' Market, Music Series and Kid's Events This Saturday July 15th

It's FINALLY HERE!!! The Barbecue Joint is set to join us this weekend and for the rest of the summer - they'll have a variety of offerings each week including a vegetarian dish, great Barbecue and Catfish sandwiches, Gumbo and more the menus will change a little weekly and we'll try to get a forecast of what they'll offer for the hungry picnicers each week. This week Barbecue and Catfish Sandwiches and Vegan Corn & Beef Salad!

The Brown Mountain Lights play at this week's Saxapahaw Rivermill Farmers' Market & Music Series. Brilliant Americana-infused straight down the line alt-country. Janet Place's voice, reminiscent of a huskier Patsy Cline drips with country hard luck and hard-won wisdom with rich harmonies, back porch-styled strumming and picking, all tempered with their deep sensibility of the common ground between old time music, straight country and melodic pop. A celebration of rootsy, twangy music and beautifully blended vocals. The Brown Mountain Lights are a huge favorite in the area. www.ipass.net/jhart/bml.htm for pictures, bios and more. Bands play from 6-8 COME ON OUT!

At the MARKET- It's the height of the season! BLUEBERRIES!!-CORN-! BEANS!! FLOWERS, Wine, Chutney, Honey, Lovingly Grown Produce, Herbs, Tarts, Cookies, Bread, Cakes and More! And the arts & crafts section is growing with jewelry, furniture, and metal sculpture. THE MARKET RUNS FROM 5:00 to 8:00.

THIS WEEK FOR THE KIDS- Bring your suits - The Fantastic ZipBoat is up and running along with sprinklers games and lots of arts and crafts! Created and run by Saxapahaw's local quality of life organization CERES, with thanks to the Saxapahaw Rivermill, Anderson Homes, Great Outdoor Provision Company, and Southern States for helping make the kids activities possible!
