The Last Radio Station is entering its third year of webcasting to a
grateful planet, and we plan on being here for another three years if
the good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise, as my grandpa used to
say.

We're continuing to make a huge effort towards collecting as many
tracks by NC bands as we can. To this end, I've been going around to
different band websites. If they have downloadable mp3s of their stuff,
I grab a few and add them to the playlist. This has enabled us to
feature a huge selection of NC bands, second only to WXYC and/or WXDU.
Since the webcast has a potential worldwide audience, the chance for new
ears to hear your stuff goes up considerably.

Lately though I've been wondering about the ethics of such
downloading.
Although I have yet to make one red cent from this endeavour, I'm
concerned some bands might object. If you would prefer that your mp3s
not be on The Last Radio Station playlist, drop us an email and if we
have any songs currently running by your band, they will be removed ASAP
and no further songfiles will be downloaded.

On the other hand, if you'd like to add your band's tunes to the
playlist, feel free to also email and let me know where they can be
downloaded from. We will webcast anything that doesn't suck out loud.
Podcasters are welcome too; we've been running a few podcasts with the
permission of their producers, and they seem pleased with the results.
We can't promise beaucoup millions of listeners just yet, but the ones
we do have are very dedicated to the cause, as it were, and they enjoy
the occasional surprise in their listening. The podcasts add a unique
human element to the programming.

So let's hear from you! Tell your friends! Remember, the Last Radio
Station is the end of radio as you've known it, and the beginning of a
whole new thing. Years from now, you can tell your grandkids you were
there at the beginning.
