still crossing fingers about the weather (the # to call the day of the
show is at the end of this post):

from the pourhouse:

The Pour House Music Hall, in the Moore Square District of downtown
Raleigh, is hosting Tsunami Aid on Sunday, January 23, starting at 2 PM
and continuing until Midnight. Ten of the areas top bands have
generously donated their time and talents for this worthy cause. We are
offering something for everyone in the way of music. Sunday's concert
is part of an area-wide series of benefits in five different venues,
over the course of the next two weekends.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the door,
batchelor/batchelorette auction, and raffle will go to aid the victims
of the recent Southeast Asia Tsunami. Admission is a minimum donation
of $10, cash or check. Of course, if you want to donate more, we will
gladly accept it. Checks should be made to either - The American Red
Cross International Disaster Response- Tsunami Relief or The U.S. Fund
for UNICEF - Tsunami Relief or Direct Relief International - Tsunami.
Many employers are matching donations dollar for dollar, so Tsunami
Aid, at The Pour House Music Hall, should generate many thousands of
dollars. The goal is $10,000.

The schedule for Sunday's Tsunami Aid is -
2 PM - Emily Waszak
3 PM - Kenny Roby
4 PM - The Brown Mountain Lights
5 PM - Jon Shain Trio
6 PM - Chatham County Line
7 PM - Barefoot Manner
8 PM - Robert Kirkland & Kick The Future
9 PM - Slowhand (A Tribute To Eric Clapton)
10 PM - Spencer Acuff
11 PM - Five Gallon Pale

Descriptions of the bands and their website addresses can be found on
The Pour House Music Hall's website at www.the-pour-house.com. The Pour
House Music Hall is located at 224 South Blount Street, Downtown
Raleigh, and the phone number is 919-821-1120.

We're still getting raffle items donated but so far we have some
incredible prizes including a room at The Sheraton Capital Centre, show
tickets at BTI Center, concert tickets, dinners, Hank Sinatra to play
at a private party, cds from Sugar Hill Records, a Hatch show poster of
Hank Williams, hats and shirts embroidered by Jennifer Reavis with the
Tsunami Aid logo, and many more. If you have any item or service that
you would like to donate, we will gladly add it to the raffle.

Food will be available for purchase from Jerry's Concessions. Their
food is yummy and includes homemade vegetable soup, steak & cheese,
polish sausages, hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, and much more.

We are also going to be able to take donations and sell raffle tickets
over the phone. Call The Pour House number (919-821-1120) and use a
credit card.

Recent legislation has been approved allowing any cash (or check)
donations to Tsunami relief efforts to be claimed on 2004 tax returns.
