Sorry this is so last mingute, but it kinda came
together at the last minute :)

New YearÂ’s Eve, Chapel Hill/Carrboro: What to do?
What to do?

New-YearÂ’s-Eve Eve, interwoven throughout our regular
non-block stock that you know and love so well, tune
in 6 – 9pm to hear live interviews with bands that are
gonna help you leave it all behind, prepare you for
the next stage of life, and rock you through the
portal of the space-time continuum all the way to the
year 2005:

Sex Police ~6pm
First up, crossing the threshold of the time machine,
emerging through the wisps of dry ice, weÂ’ll have Sex
Police sometime during the 6 oÂ’clock hour representing
the awesome event CatÂ’s Cradle has arranged to guide
us to 2005. Is this a one-time-only reunion thing or
have they seen the need for Sex Police in the new
millennium, returning to enforce the rock, all funked
up? Check it out!

Later on, weÂ’ll be hearing from a couple bands who are
half of the four-for-four hard-hitting rock
extravaganza Local 506 has smithed to ring in this New
Year, hammer ‘n’ anvil style.

The Young Idea ~7pm
The 7 oÂ’clock hour brings us The Young Idea, a brand
new local band, still glowing white-hot out of the
fire, and premiering tracks from their debut e.p.
Listen and learn why, how, and Â…who? they are.

Kung Flude ~8pm
Finally, buttress the doorframes! Sometime after 8pm,
Kung Flude will burst into the control room displaying
how their fists of steel are *the* heaviest metal
slamminÂ’ down the Chiller New Year celebrations.

Again, Thursday, December 30, 2004, throughout 6 - 9
p.m. EST, tune in to WXYC, Chapel Hill, 89.3FM,
www.wxyc.org . Leave the acorns for the squirrels,
man, and plan your New YearÂ’s Eve options for some
live in-town entertainment. No matter what you
choose, ya canÂ’t go wrong!

Love,

mc^2
