Super 8 Institution FLICKER has been around for 10 years.

To celebrate, all 5 past FLICKER impresarios will be bringing the very
best films shown at FLICKER together for a weekend of screenings and
workshops.

Thursday, September 23 at Local 506 @ 8:00pm:
Screenings featuring Norwood Cheek's "Young Rock" featuring music
videos from Superchunk, Archers of Loaf, & Polvo.

Friday, Septermber 24, Carrboro ArtsCenter, 8pm Main Theater in the
Carrboro ArtsCenter $10, $8 for ArtsCenter Friends: This is local boys
made good night. FLICKER will be screening of Phil Morrison's feature
"Junebug." This was shot in his hometown of Winston-Salem. Also
showing "Almost Beat" by Peyton Reed, maker of Hollywood features
"Bring in On" and "Down with Love." Morrison and Reed screened at the
very first FLICKER all those year ago. This is followed by some of the
best damn films that FLICKER has shown in the last 10 years.

Saturday, September 25,
11am-1pm & 1:30-3:30pm Main Theater in the Carrboro ArtsCenter $7, $5
for ArtsCenter Friends:
- SUPER 8 WORKSHOP: Overview of Super 8 filmmaking. They'll show you
basic camera functions, tell you where to buy film, information about
editing and then there'll be a short film shoot.

11am-1pm & 1:30-3:30pm Dark Room in the Carrboro ArtsCenter $7, $5 for
ArtsCenter Friends:
- HAND PROCESSING WORKSHOP: This is a darkroom tutorial about how to
hand process your latest Super 8 creation. Bring a cartridge of of
Black & White film you shot and leave with a roll of film to show.
(limit of 10 people per workshop).

1:30-3:30 West End Theater in the Carrboro ArtsCenter $7, $5 for
ArtsCenter Friends:
FILMMAKING AND FILM FESTIVALS WORKSHOP: Past Flicker Chapel Hill
organizer Roger Beebe, Flicker Austin, TX organizer, Cory Ryan and
Filmmaker Steve Daniels will screen work and talk about filmmaking and
how to organize a festival.

Saturday, September 25, 8pm $5 Cat's Cradle, Carrboro 919-967-9053
Some of the Best damn films show over the last 10 years at FLICKER.
This 2 hour program will take you through the history of your local
film festival the way it's meant to happen, in a rock club.
