*July 14*, Wednesday, 6pm Internationalist Books. Join us for a discussion of graphic art and politics, and a stenciling workshop with authors Josh MacPhee ("Stencil Pirates") and Nate Powell. MacPhee's new book is a study of the complex history and politics of stencil graffiti. The book contains close to 1,000 examples of political graffiti from around the world, and includes a stenciling instruction manual and cardboard stencils. Powell will be presenting his new graphic novel, "It Disappears". Josh and Nate will discuss the social impact and history of underground graphic art and lead a hands-on workshop.*

*August 9,* The Internationalist Book Club will be meeting on August 9th at 7:30 pm at the store to discuss *Banana Republicans* <http://www.bananarepublicans.org/>, by John Stauber and Sheldon Rampton. In this lively read, Stauber and Rampton explore how the GOP leadership maintains its hold on power through the systemic manipulation of the electoral system, the media, the lobbying establishment, and the political culture at large. They also briefly consider how we can fight back. Copies available at the bookstore. All are welcome.
