Hi all:

two pieces of CC information that are important to take note of - so I repeat them on this list:

(1) CC has launched its very first Kickstarter campaign earlier this week: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/creativecommons/made-with-creative-commons-a-book-on-open-business

Please help spreading the word - and/or become a backer yourself! [I know I have mentioned this before but we really want this campaign to be a success ;-) ]

(2) The deadline for the Global Summit's Call for Participation has been extended to next week Wednesday (US time) due to a technical glitch. Please read Jessica’s email below carefully if you have submitted more than proposal. If you have not yet submitted your proposal please do this asap. I don't think the deadline will be extended again! https://summit.creativecommons.org/cfp/

Have a great weekend!

Tobias

Hi all

As you know, the deadline for submissions to the Global Summit's Call for Participation is coming up on Friday.

However, we've just been made aware of a technical glitch which means that some people's proposals may not have registered on the system. This problem affected cases where there were multiple submissions from the same email address - if you've put in more than one submission, your second or third submission may not have registered.

The issue is now fixed, and you can add as many submissions as you like from the same email address. However, we aren't sure how long the problem persisted, so we are asking for anyone who submitted more than one proposal before 16 July to resubmit their second, third etc proposals.

We're very sorry about this - we know that a lot of work can go into writing a submission, and having to resubmit is a big ask.

To compensate, and to make sure everyone has time to get their proposals in, we're going to extend the submission deadline to midnight US Pacific time on Wednesday 22 July. This gives you 5 more days to get your proposals in.

We're sorry again about problems, and can't wait to see all the submissions everyone puts in.
