Dear all: two more items that may be of interest for you: 1. the Open Education Week is taking place between 5 - 11 March 2013, coordinated by the OCW Consortium. Its purpose is to raise awareness of both the movement and its impact on teaching and learning worldwide. Participation in all events and use of all resources is free and open to anyone. Last year we had some great CC participation, with multilingual webinars on CC from nearly a dozen affiliates worldwide. This year, CC is, among other things, planning some big School of Open announcements for that week. Let us know if you're planning anything, so that we can help with the publicity. Visit www.openeducationweek.org for more information and for archives of Open Education Week 2012. To contribute, simply fill out the web form on that website by 18 January 2013. All contributions must use an open license that allows for reuse and modification. 2. USAID plans to conduct an evaluation of the impact and anticipated legacy of its Textbooks & Learning Materials Project (TLMP) in Senegal, Ghana, Tanzania, Malawi, South Africa, and Ethiopia. They are now looking for for 2-3 educators in each of these countries to participate in this project. If you have (a) a degree in education (advanced degree preferred); (b) minimum of five years’ experience in teacher training, supervision of classroom teachers, and/or curriculum and materials development; (c) fluency in a local language of instruction, and (d) experience in the evaluation of education programs or materials, please have a look at this job announcement (or pass on to others): http://linkd.in/So6zfi . The deadlines are quite close. Best, Tobias --- Dr. Tobias Schonwetter Regional Coordinator: Africa Creative Commons |
