Greetings All,

I am writing today to reach out to CC's friends in Sub-Saharan Africa with a special request.  We are looking for recommendations of people who work in science on the continent.

Who: People who are involved in the scientific community and who have worked with data and property issues.  All areas of science welcome, including agriculture.

Why: A small, invited group of science folks will be meeting together to discuss the future of sharing and open innovation in the area of science.  We are striving to make this group representative of the true global science network.

When: The meeting will take place in November of 2011.

Where: The meeting will be in Washington, DC.

What to do: If you know someone who is a science person that fits the above description, or you yourself are, and would like to be considered for the conference, please send a short blurb describing qualifications and listing contact information to Alan Ruttenberg, cc'd above.
Deadline: Tuesday 25 July.  Apologies for the short notice; invites are to go out by the end of next week.

For those of you who are not on the CCAfrica list, you can join here: http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/ccafrica

Thank you everyone!

Best Regards,
Aurelia
