Just a quick reminder about the conference next friday at Sussex University on the subject of Remix Culture which has been organized by David Berry and Neil Leyton. It looks very interesting and you can read more and register at http://www.musiccommons.org/ (or see info below).

Rufus

Sponsored by the Department of Media and Film, University of Sussex.

A one day symposium to bring together people involved both in theory and practice of peer-produced commons production. Including the creative commons, open source and Free/Libre Culture. Theory, ideas, strategies and tactics, from releasing, sharing and remixing work - plus discussions of how to make new commons-based models function alongside the present music-industry type model and the increasingly restrictive legal environment.
