Does anyone have a pointer to the current status of the music copyright term in the UK?
There was a lot of press last year about how certain popular oldies (Elvis songs, for instance) were going to become part of the public domain on Jan 1, 2005, but that many rightsholders were intiating challenges. What came of this? Did the works become part of the Public Domain or did the copyholders win some sort of stay?
Thanks.
