Hi all,

Some good news: Recently, CCANZ won a small grant from CCHQ to develop an open textbook, with some folks at the University of Otago leading the way.

 

This will be an first-year Media Studies textbook, for use in New Zealand and Australia.

 

All things going to plan, the first draft of the textbook will be finished in November, with the editing process continuing after that. Ideally, this will be a good test-case for other OER textbook projects iun different disciplines and levels. We’ll also be looking to other open textbook project across the world, including those in Canada and Latin America.
