Thanks all. What a great response! I’ll have my own CC film festival at home this weekend and run through some of the suggestions. If this night works out, and the host is up for more collaboration, we can make it a semi-regular event.

Kia ora koutou

CC film night, great idea! I really love Us Now, a doco on crowdsourcing/ participatory governance, which we showed a while back here in Ōtepoti. Us Now showcases a wide variety of examples from online; CouchSurfing and Mum'sNet forum, to realspace; a football club whose members pick its team, and a community meeting to decide which community groups get funded for an available pool - crowdfunding in person! It is distributed using BitTorrent by Vodo.net under CC-NC-SA:

Hi all,

I’m planning a CC movie night for our birthday in December. Nothing is confirmed yet, though does anyone have any suggestions for films?

Documentaries work best, as it means we can get around classification issues.

Thanks in advance,

Matt
