this brings to mind the difficulties that singer-songwriter moana
got into in germany some years ago, when it turned out that a german
company had trademarked the name moana. i don't have a reference to
the case but i believe that in the end she had to tour & release
under a different name (moana & the tribe?) in germany - the
german company with the trademark won. which would suggest that,
legally, tangent records might have a leg to stand on. i might be wrong about this, & haven't been able to find a reference to the case, but maybe someone else out there knows about it? h : ) On 30/01/11 9:19 PM, Jane Hornibrook wrote:
