I agree - the reference to the URI should definitely be watered down in the
licence. At the very least, a reference to the licence the article is under
(rather than the URI itself) should suffice for appropriate mediums (eg
radio, music-on-hold).
The solution I've been playing with re the attribution is to include the
full attribution details of the material on a website, and include an
announcement referring people to the website in the music stream. If the
announcement was frequent enough, this could arguably be said to be
'reasonable to the medium'.

To my mind the real killer is not the attribution requirement which, as you
say, is reasonable to the medium, but the requirement re the URI which has
no
reasonable exceptions as far as I remember and I have pointed this out
previously with respect to radio station use.
No one suggested any workable solutions, nor do I see any as the licenses
are
currently worded. I would be happy to be educated otherwise.
