AFAIK, the answer is no - and why should it? An embedded image is no derivative work, why should we allow for such an extension of the licensor's rights?


Having reviewed the 3.0 generic license draft, I can confirm that there is no prosed change. The language of the 2.5 and 3.0 licenses are in this respect basically the same. The only, minor, difference is that the 3.0 generic license replaces the word (and concept of) "derivative work" with "adaptation".
