Hello,
I apologize if this question has been covered before, and hope that
somebody can request a better place to post it if this is not the
appropriate place...
Let's say I, Artist #1, license a song (music and lyrics) under the
by-nc-sa license.
Artist #2 makes a derivative work and licenses that under the by-nc-sa.
Artist #3 makes a derivative work from that of Artist #2 and wants to
use that song commercially.
Does Artist #3 have to get permission from all the artists given
attribution on that piece (Artist #1 and Artist #2) in order to use
that song commercially?
Thanks a lot,
Kevin
