Hi all,
First things first. I was surprised to note that I had to create an
account with wikimedia.in I thought the single-sign on permeated by
wikipedia would seep here as well but for reasons unknown they have
not opted to do that. So any comment on that would be nice.

Wikimedia India is independent of the Wikimedia Foundation (though affiliated to it). WMF runs its own servers on which WMIN has no control  nor is it responsible for any content and vice versa, WMIN runs its own server on which WMF has no control nor is it responsible for any content.

Initially, WMIN wiki was open and anyone could edit as an IP. However due to a large influx of spam edits, only registered users with verified email ids can edit as of now.

Now for the actual voting, the ones I have liked have not been been
ratified by CC and there doesn't seem to be any discussion or reasons
given as to why they have not ratified it. If there is any discussion
please link/share it here.

I understand they did not meet CC requirements. If there is someone from HQ on this list, perhaps it would be better if they elaborate on this.

The ones I liked do show some of the characteristics of india and
indian culture and are a bit more adventurous than others. Anyway,
sadly all the ones I liked are out of contention but still would
appreciate if any light can be shared on the reasons they were not
ratified.

I'm sure your not the only one who feels this way.
