Subject: [Communia-members] multilingual educational resources about the public domain
To: communia-members@lists.communia-project.eu
Dear Communia members,
We thought you might be interested in the following website.
We are frequently asked whether translations of our Center's educational materials are available. As a starting point, we have created a new website offering translations of educational resources about intellectual property and the public domain in Chinese, French, Portuguese and Spanish. We hope this might spur others around the world to do the same with some of their more accessible works. These resources are freely available under Creative Commons licenses. You can visit the website at
http://www.law.duke.edu/cspd/english
Please feel free to post these materials on your website or distribute them in print. Also, please feel free to forward this email or the URL above to anyone who might find the translations useful. We hope they will help to promote greater awareness and understanding about intellectual property and the public domain.
If you are pursuing other translation projects, we would be delighted to hear about them - please feel free to send me links to the websites where the translations are posted. If you are interested in a new translation project, we have also created a website offering multiple text-free versions of our comic book "Bound By Law" for translation. You can find them at http://www.law.duke.edu/cspd/comics/translate/
Thank you and best regards, Jennifer
