A Microsoft blogger on Open Source. The customer responses are interesting and show how real-world consumers of proprietary software believe Open Source might be beneficial to them (wiki-ing MSDN makes lots of sense):

One point to add to Linus Torvalds' very diplomatic position on Apple using BSD rather than Linux: when NeXT started developing NeXTSTEP - which later became Apple's MacOSX - in the second half of the 1980s, BSD was the only game in town. Linux wouldn't be started for another three or four years, so NeXT didn't have a choice.
