- Subject: [BL] parallel port floppy

I have a DELL LATITUDE CP (PI MMX 166MHz, sold with Win9X) floppy drive (made in Philippines) that can be inserted into a bay (and the matching CD-ROM drive made in Japan) with floppy-to-parallel cable (labelled so).
The laptop itself died. The bay could hold floppy, CD-ROM, or battery.
Supposedly Windows will just recognize the drive and load the drivers.
Or at least Windows that came on the DELL laptop.
Can this be used with linux? Not to boot, but to copy files.
I have a 133MHz Hitachi with CD-ROM but no floppy drive.
