A CLI based text editor is fine; already have some experience with vi
and vim, used Word Perfect 5 back in my DOS days. As for a browser, at
a minimum Freeshell access is a necessity. That covers almost all of
the text based browsers save for the oldest.
Aside from the network issues, the DOS install onboard currently is
capable enough. As I mentioned, this is also a bit of a "look-see", to
see if it can be done. I'm quite sure that it actually can work with
Linux, whether BL or another lightweight flavor.
But, and this is the important part; I am a firm believer in "owning"
your software and your computer. Linux, and to a lesser extent DOS,
allows you to do that better.
Haven't had a chance to begin the actual install yet. Once that moves
forward, I will share the results.

"The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this: A human
creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive. To them... a touch is a
blow, a sound is a noise, a misfortune is a tragedy, a joy is an
ecstasy, a friend is a lover, a lover is a god, and failure is death."
