The 'static' midori package (install using tar -zxvf on /) requires libstdc++.so.6 (as does Firefox) and ldd on the included libraries reveals that it also needs gtk2 (pango cairo glib gmodule libgio freetype xml2) and maybe other things that Puppy already has.

Someone should try to add gtk2 to Puppy (Slackware 11 glibc?) and then experiment with this century's browsers. We hope to have 'slow' DSL in a month.

It is cheaper than a landline phone - $20 instead of $30 - and with a
VOIP setup you can make calls for very cheap and possibly for free with google voice. New ATA devices (into which you plug a phone line) are $40 and there are lots of old ones around some unlockable so they can be used without the original provider.
