Honestly, if you want to use a lightweight webkit browser, you should
probably look into uzbl. It's definitely not user friendly, but it's more
likely to work on BL

I learned that uzbl was designed, recently, for Archlinux, which is mostly non-GUI, i686 or 64-bit, supposedly simple and efficient, and most likely is available as a binary for it if you want to test it out. There is a core, browser, and tabbed browser, and it can be used entirely from the keyboard with customized keybindings. Sounds very efficient and easy on computer memory. So how big is it?

uzbl code itself is just over 100K but there are dependencies such as webkit, libsoup and gthread.

Webkit was created for Apple Safari browser. Source for linux is 14.6MB.

Libsoup is a library for GNOME - does uzbl also need GNOME? Source is 941MB (stable) or 586KB (development). (????)

Archlinux iso is about 350MB (7 hour download via bittorrent, which is included in Opera 9.64 and seems to download at 14K/sec over dialup).
