Can you copy your BL3 setup to another hard drive or USB flash drive (boot
with David's 1-floppy USB_storage
BL and mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt), repartition your hard drive to make a
second partition of about 500MB, and then
put back BL3 on the first partition (or the second, if you are booting with
loadlin from DOS)? Or simply
run BL2 from a second hard drive? Set up loadlin or lilo for hdb1/BL2.
loadlin bzimage.*** root=/dev/hda2 ro
David Moberg no longer answers my emails either and James does not have much
time for this list any more.
Most of what I posted will work with BL3 and glibc 2.2.5 - it is only the
newer X programs which will not.
Firefox, Seamonkey, SJphone need a later X (even later than Slackware 7 - I
had to update libX11 too).
