It worked great.

The vfat.o module fits onto disk 2 of the latest 2-floppy BL3 so I use it to clone Windows 98 (which you cannot do with DOS or a running Windows 98 that you want to clone from). Another list member made a 1-floppy USB BL-based linux with vfat support built in, useful for copying files from Win98 to USB flash drive. mount -t vfat. I would not be without these three disks.
