I have compiled glibc-2.2.5-dynamic psftp and pscp (also puttygen and plink) and uploaded the first two to
http://keesan.freeshell.org/bl/psftp
http://keesan.freeshell.org/bl/pscp
About 320-350K
They compiled perfectly with gcc 2.95.3. You will need the Slackware 8.1 libc and ld-linux or later to use them.
psftp user@address
Give password when requested. Uses ftp-type commands. Type 'help'.
Binary seems to be default. Does not need sshd at my end.
I found it simpler to use than ftpput and it probably does more.
pscp does a secure file copy. I did not try it yet.
Should I package these two files with docs?
putty itself needs X libraries not on my computer so it did not get compiled. configure must have made this decision.
Karolis will compile openssh (ssh sshd sftp scp) against uclibc static. Nov 7 2006 version, with Feb 23 2007 openssl. He might redo uclibc to work better with 2.2.16 kernel first.
