I've fiddled with DSL since at least the 0.4 series. For the longest time,
they were using the 2.4.22 kernel. They're at release 2.01 now, and the
latest release (2.01b) uses 2.4.31. They've never had a 2.2.x kernel in any
version I ever tried, and I think I've tried every major release since 0.4
