The 2.2.26 kernel is around 600kb. I have 16 MB of ram, and no cd. (Plus that's not really what I'm aiming for) Anyway, I tried out the main modules I would be using with the 2.2.26 kernel, and it doesn't even work, so I think I'll me abandoning that idea.
How big is this 2.2.26 kernel? Will it really fit on one disk with all the modules and links? How much RAM does your computer have? Maybe there is some way to set up several 4MB ramdisks on it, with Steven's help.
Would it be possible to make a CD version of what you are after instead?

If anybody was wondering, the 2.2.26 kernel from DeliLinux is in the delibase.tgz. I was just looking in the wrong dir. For some reason it is in the root / dir and not /boot.
I copied this to BL2, but I'm still having problems with orinoco modules that were compiled for it in DeliLinux.
As well, I was hoping to make a 1 disk wonder myself. Because my HD is failing, I was hoping to reduce BL3 to something smaller with 2.2.26 kernel, pcmcia modules from delilinux for wireless, links, and that's pretty much it. That way it can be a wirless ready disk!

I do now understand that baslinux.gz is not an archive, but a filesystem image. However, is there still a way to edit that image, or is compiled and impossible to edit with the right software. I'm looking at making an extra extra user friendly version of linux.
