WA = BA, 'come, be', a variant of HAWA, and HAYA, possible forerunners 
of HU and HIY. Hence, WAYIGA$ = בא-היא-גש BA-HIY-GA$, with HIY 
referring to the performer of the act GA$. Otherwise, the quibbles on the 
WAYIQTOL appear to me to be but a מהומה על מאומה
